White Pocket may only be a small part of the Arizona landscape but it’s 100% drama. Almost pure white rocks adorn one side while orange swirling rock fills the rest of the space. There are smooth curves, deep ridges and wispy peaks. When you stand in the middle you can’t see the surrounding landscape and it really feels like you’re worlds away from earth.
On the day I visited there was a monsoon storm rolling around us. The dark blue clouds reflected the orange surface of the rocks and they took on a purple hue. As I said, drama!
